The \u2018Toussaint<\/strong>\u2019 (All Saints\u2019 Day) holidays run from Saturday 23 October to Sunday 8 November this year. Although cultural and sporting events have been affected by the Covid-19 crisis, most activities in Paris have now started up again. From\u00a0immersive and entertaining exhibitions<\/strong>\u00a0to amazing\u00a0treasure hunts and enchanting shows<\/strong>. Here\u2019s a guide!<\/p>

Soak up culture at a museum<\/h3>
\"Famille<\/figure><\/div>

In parallel with its exhibition\u00a0The Morozov Collection. Icons of Modern Art<\/a>, featuring works by some of the\u00a0greatest French and Russian artists<\/strong>\u00a0of the nineteenth century including\u00a0C\u00e9zanne, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, Vroubel and Malevitch<\/strong>, the Louis Vuitton Foundation is organizing photographic and\u00a0storytelling workshops for children and families<\/strong>.<\/p>

This autumn, the\u00a0Jeu de Paume<\/a>\u00a0presents\u00a0PING-PONG<\/strong>, its new programme of\u00a0activities for children aged 3 and over<\/strong>. Check out their guided storytelling tours and classes on the history of photography.<\/p>

At the\u00a0Atelier des Lumi\u00e8res<\/a>, children can take part in a spectacular voyage into space through the immersive experience\u00a0Destination cosmos<\/strong>. Join this incredible adventure and see the stars, planets and nebulae as never before \u2013 an\u00a0unforgettable evening<\/strong>.<\/p>

Equally inventive, the\u00a0Petit Palais<\/a>\u00a0invites children to discover the\u00a0colourful, poetic universe<\/strong>\u00a0of Jean-Michel Othoniel through his exhibition\u00a0The Narcissus Theorum.<\/strong><\/p>

The Kids Gallery (Galerie des enfants<\/em>) at the\u00a0Pompidou Centre<\/a>\u00a0presents a workshop-exhibition entitled\u00a0The People of Tomorrow\u00a0<\/strong>(le people de demain<\/em>) developed by designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. There are also guided tours specially designed for\u00a0families and young children<\/strong>\u00a0(visites tribus<\/em>) to explore the major retrospective of American artist\u00a0Georgia O\u2019Keeffe<\/a>\u00a0(for children aged 7 and over, on Sundays at 4:00\u00a0pm).<\/p>

Head to the\u00a0Cit\u00e9 des Sciences<\/a>\u00a0where the kids can enjoy two temporary exhibitions with a social and environmental theme \u2013\u00a0Jean, sous toutes les coutures<\/strong>\u00a0(all about jeans) and\u00a0Renaissances\u00a0<\/strong>(imagining possible futures) while the little ones (0-2 years) explore the babies\u2019 and toddlers\u2019 educational play area at the Lab de la\u00a0Cit\u00e9 des B\u00e9b\u00e9s<\/strong>!<\/p>

The\u00a0Paris Aquarium<\/a>\u00a0makes clever use of the\u00a0Mr Men and Little Miss characters<\/strong>\u00a0to raise awareness about\u00a0Marine Protected Areas<\/strong>\u00a0in this fun, educational exhibition. A great way to get kids \u2013 and adults \u2013 to think about the need to protect our oceans and the ecosystems that depend on them. There are also\u00a0workshops<\/strong>, a\u00a0treasure hunt<\/strong>, and a special kids\u2019\u00a0show<\/strong>.<\/p>

Set off to conquer the city<\/h3>

Thanks to a guide who\u2019s passionate about the city, the\u00a0kids will have fun learning about the history of Paris<\/strong>\u00a0through\u00a0some amazing stories, fun guessing-games and mini-challenges \u2013 with a few sweets thrown in!<\/strong>\u00a0All aboard the bus for a tour of the city!<\/p>

At the\u00a0Panth\u00e9on<\/a>, for example, the whole family can learn about its architecture through an\u00a0activities booklet<\/strong>\u00a0and take part in a building workshop specially designed for the occasion.<\/p>

Imagine yourself back in the eighteenth century at the\u00a0H\u00f4tel de la Marine<\/a>\u00a0thanks to their specially developed audio headset with\u00a0immersive narrative<\/strong>\u00a0and 3D audio effects.<\/p>

And the\u00a0Conciergerie de Paris<\/a>\u00a0invites visitors on a journey through the poetic universe of Ghanaian artist El Anatsui, proposing art and craft workshops and an aerial circus performance.<\/p>

Live like a king<\/h3>
\"Ch\u00e2teau<\/figure><\/div>

A visit to a\u00a0French ch\u00e2teau<\/strong>\u00a0is a wonderful journey back in time, especially over the autumn \u2018Toussaint\u2019 holidays. It\u2019s well worth venturing outside Paris to experience it for yourself.<\/p>

The\u00a0Ch\u00e2teau de Vaux-Le-Vicomte<\/a>, proposes various activities including immersive sound visits (The Fabulous History of Vaux\u00a0and The Fouquet Affair), a quiz to discover the gardens (based on The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs) and an\u00a0underground river adventure trail<\/strong>\u00a0(The Styx, River of the Underworld). During the holidays,\u00a0period costumes<\/strong>\u00a0will be available for children so they can discover the interior of the largest privately owned historic monument in France dressed up as princesses or musketeers!<\/p>

Fontainebleau<\/a>, in the Seine-et-Marne d\u00e9partement, has already put the clocks back for winter: kids can enjoy\u00a0thrilling rides on karts pulled by sled dogs<\/strong>\u00a0in the park.<\/p>

At the\u00a0Ch\u00e2teau de Versailles<\/a>,\u00a0The King\u2019s Animals<\/strong>, a major exhibition co-curated with the Louvre, features more than 300 works from all over the world. This off-beat and entertaining display is an excellent opportunity to see how one of the most beautiful buildings in the Ile-de-France region has been sketched over the years by many talented illustrators, and then set off on a tour of all the different rooms in the palace. Since there are far fewer international visitors this year because of the Covid-19 crisis, your\u00a0visit will be much quieter<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 you will be able to tour all the magnificent galleries at your leisure. Take this opportunity to admire the sumptuous galleries of the Ch\u00e2teau, be enchanted by the Musical Fountains Show or follow one of the many guided tours.<\/p>

Get outdoors in nature<\/h3>

Weather permitting, there\u2019s nothing better than spending time\u00a0outdoors<\/strong>\u00a0to give the kids a breath of fresh air.<\/p>

The\u00a0Jardin d\u2019Acclimatation<\/a>\u00a0amusement park proposes two \u2018All Saints Special\u2019 attractions from 23 October 2021 \u2013\u00a0The Bewitched River<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0The Haunted Museum<\/strong>! Delightful frights for the little ones!<\/p>

The\u00a0Thoiry safari park<\/a>\u00a0in the Yvelines d\u00e9partement is once again putting on its \u2018Lumi\u00e8res Sauvages<\/a>\u2019 (Wild Lights) lantern festival this year from 25 October onwards, with huge Chinese lanterns in the shapes of animals and people and spectacular illuminated tableaux.<\/p>
